The telosapp.com website (the Website or Telos Website) and Telos mobile applications (the Software or Telos Software) are owned and operated by Telos, Inc.("Telos", "us" or "we"). It is Telos's policy to respect your privacy regarding any information we may collect while operating our websites and Telos Software.

Website Visitors

Like most website operators, Telos collects non-personally-identifying information of the sort that web browsers and servers typically make available, such as the browser type, language preference, referring site, and the date and time of each visitor requests. Telos's purpose in collecting non-personally identifying information is to better understand how Telos's visitors use its website. From time to time, Telos may release non-personally-identifying information in the aggregate, e.g., by publishing a report on trends in the usage of its website.

Telos also collects potentially personally-identifying information like Internet Protocol (IP) addresses and email addresses for users who post feedback or report an issue on the Website.

Telos Software Users

When you install Telos Software on your mobile device, you are required to provide a mobile phone number to receive access code via SMS. The phone number will be saved in Telos servers. The phone number is also used to discover other Telos users who have your phone number in their address book.

You need to permit Telos to access your address book in the mobile device. A simplified copy of the address book with information of name, phone number, ringtone of each contact will be stored in Telos servers. The phone numbers of eact contact are encrypted by an irreversible way. The phone numbers and name of your contacts are used to build your Telos friend list.

Telos also collects information such as the mobile device ID, device name, OS type and version, and IP address to make certain Telos functions work.

Telos does not disclose, release your phone number, contacts information, or device information to any third parties.

Certain Telos features require access to the location information for your mobile phone. Some features, such as "Find Nearby Friends" also store your location information in our servers, and share your location information with other Telos users. If you are concerned about the privacy of your location information, we recommend you do not use those features.

When you use Telos to send a multimedia message (such as sharing a picture, or sharing a video clip), the multimedia content will be cached in Telos servers for increased performance. The cached content will be removed after a certain period of months, Telos does not provide any means for you to delete the cached content manually.

Gathering of Personally-Identifying Information

Certain visitors to Telos's websites, or Telos Software users choose to interact with Telos in ways that require Telos to gather personally-identifying information. The amount and type of information that Telos gathers depends on the nature of the interaction. Telos collects such information only insofar as is necessary or appropriate to fulfill the purpose of the user's interaction with Telos. Telos does not disclose personally-identifying information other than as described below. Visitors can always refuse to supply personally-identifying information, with the caveat that it may prevent them from engaging in certain website-related activities.

Aggregated Statistics

Telos may collect statistics about the behavior of visitors to its websites or Telos Software users. Telos may display this information publicly or provide it to others. However, Telos does not disclose personally-identifying information other than as described below.

Telos discloses potentially personally-identifying and personally-identifying information only to those of its employees, contractors and affiliated organizations that :

If you send us a request (for example via a support email or via one of our feedback mechanisms), we reserve the right to publish it in order to help us clarify or respond to your request or to help us support other users. Telos takes all measures reasonably necessary to protect against the unauthorized access, use, alteration or destruction of potentially personally-identifying and personally-identifying information.

Cookies

A cookie is a string of information that a website stores on a visitor's computer, and that the visitor's browser provides to the website each time the visitor returns. Telos uses cookies to help Telos identify and track visitors, their usage of Telos website, and their website access preferences. Telos visitors who do not wish to have cookies placed on their computers should set their browsers to refuse cookies before using Telos's websites, with the drawback that certain features of Telos's websites may not function properly without the aid of cookies.

Ads appearing on Telos Software or any of our websites may be delivered to users by advertising partners, who may set cookies. This information allows ad networks to, among other things, deliver targeted advertisements that they believe will be of most interest to you.
